Looking back on data from the last year, we've seen a fair few other games find their way into the top five - including the arrival of some of the best free Xbox games like Fall Guys, which stole the top spot back in June, and MultiVersus, which made the top five a few months later - but there's a clear trend to it at this point. If we're talking pure solo adventures, only a handful of games have managed to make such a splash - in the last year, the only other single-player games to break into our top five have been Game Pass-powered silly sci-fi shooter High on Life and FromSoftware's epic Elden Ring (which does admittedly have an optional online element to it) around this time last year.įor those unaware, our weekly Xbox charts pull in data from players around the world, with a sample size of well over two million accounts offering a decent cross section of the Xbox landscape to see what games are being played by the most people. It's rare to see anything mess with the Big Five, but historically, games that have done so have generally tended to be multiplayer ones, or at least games with a prominent multiplayer component.
